Our research-based verdict
Bionic 1097 is most appealing for a cupboard or closet that needs occasional local illumination without a permanent electrical installation. Its removable magnetic mount is the practical benefit: the light can be positioned for the storage area and removed for charging.
The main trade-off is that convenience depends on access. Mounting a rechargeable bar where it is difficult to remove simply replaces the problem of reaching a switch with the problem of reaching a charger.

Reasons to consider it
- Removable magnetic swivel mount
- USB-rechargeable design
- Warm-white local illumination
Trade-offs
- Runtime not verified
- Linking description needs confirmation
- Mounting and sensor placement matter

What matters in daily use
The exact gallery shows the sensor, charging port, on/off control and swivel base. Aiming the light can help illuminate the shelf contents rather than the front edge, but the angle must also leave the motion sensor a usable view.
The manufacturer advertises detection up to 10 feet and a 25-second sensor interval. Treat those as specified operating behavior, not a guarantee that it will detect a hand through a closed door, around a corner or behind stored boxes.
Warm 3000 K light can suit cupboards and closets, but the source does not establish task-lighting output across a long worktop. One small bar may leave shadows, so evaluate actual coverage rather than assuming a bright promotional kitchen scene represents one unit.

Evidence and unanswered questions
The official title and exact 1097 gallery identify USB-rechargeable operation. Some written description refers broadly to reducing battery replacements and connecting two additional lights. We did not establish the required linking hardware or compatibility for this exact unit, so linking is not a verified buying feature here.
This review does not substitute the smaller two-pack model 8773. Similar Bionic names can conceal different sizes, power arrangements and mounting systems. We have not measured runtime, detection angle, adhesive durability or charging time on 1097.
Source and variant checks were completed on October 16, 2026. Displayed buyer stars were not used as our own score or as proof of product performance.

Fit, care and safety checks
Use a clean, compatible mounting surface and follow the supplied plate-installation instructions. A magnetic bar still depends on its plate staying attached; do not mount it where a fall could damage fragile items or strike someone.
Keep the charging port and unit dry unless the supplied exact-model instructions explicitly allow another environment. Plan cable access and use a compatible power supply matching the unit label. A cordless cabinet light should not be assumed suitable inside a hot appliance or damp shower area.

Before ordering
Confirm model 1097 and the rechargeable swivel-mount design. Check what mounting hardware, cable and power adapter the seller actually includes; the gallery verifies a charging cable, not an included wall adapter.
Choose a location that permits removal for charging and lets the sensor see activity. If uninterrupted all-night illumination or verified linking is essential, obtain the exact runtime and system instructions before ordering rather than relying on generic wireless-light copy.
