Our research-based verdict
Clever Dash is worth considering when you want a removable phone rest rather than a permanently attached mount. Its broad pad-style base is the defining feature, but whether it remains useful depends on the actual shape and surface of your dashboard.
We would not choose it on the promise that it fits every phone or cannot obstruct the road. A dashboard can be sloped, textured or crowded, and a phone held securely in the cradle is not the same as a base that stays put during a sudden maneuver.

Reasons to consider it
- Removable pad-style base
- Adjustable viewing support
- Usable as a stationary phone rest
Trade-offs

What matters in daily use
The official photographs show a landscape-oriented phone on a low-profile base, with a rear view of the cradle and supporting arm. Those images are useful for understanding the design, but the pictured older phone does not establish fit for a large modern handset in a thick case.
The manufacturer describes a non-slip grip pad and adjustable arm. Before relying on either, check available flat space, the chosen viewing angle and whether the phone’s buttons or charging connector are obstructed. A loose cable should not interfere with controls.
The product is also pictured on a kitchen counter and office desk. Stationary use avoids vehicle-motion demands, but the same questions about phone size, stability and screen angle still apply. No wireless charger or powered adjustment is verified for this model.

Evidence and unanswered questions
The reviewed official product record assigns SKU 9435, and all four selected images carry that model filename. The public description does not provide a verified minimum or maximum phone width, a tested dashboard material list or an acceleration-retention rating.
Claims of universal phone compatibility and unobstructed visibility are therefore not established for your combination of car, phone and case. We have not road-tested the holder or independently measured grip in heat, vibration or emergency braking.
Source and variant checks were completed on October 16, 2026. Displayed buyer stars were not used as our own score or as proof of product performance.

Fit, care and safety checks
Position a phone only where it does not block your road view, instruments, controls or airbag deployment area, and check applicable local mounting rules. The manufacturer’s staged dashboard photo is not an installation approval for every vehicle.
Set navigation before moving and do not adjust the mount or interact with the screen while driving. If a suitable, secure position cannot be found, use a different mounting design rather than accepting a compromised view or loose object on the dashboard.

Before ordering
Compare the exact 9435 cradle-and-base design with your phone dimensions, case thickness and dashboard surface. Ask the seller for fit dimensions when they are missing; a generic all-phones statement is not a substitute for a measurement.
Choose based on the mounting location you can safely use. A vent, console or other compatible mount may be a better match where a pad-style dashboard holder lacks flat space. For desk use, compare stability and viewing angle rather than vehicle claims.

Common buying questions
Does it charge a phone?
No charging feature is verified in the reviewed manufacturer information. Treat it as a holder, not a charger.
Will it fit a thick phone case?
The source does not give a verified maximum cradle opening. Confirm dimensions with the seller before ordering.
Does non-slip mean crash-secure?
No. We found no verified retention rating or crash testing for the base. Non-slip advertising does not establish safety under sudden vehicle motion.
