Verdict: convenient for several small devices, with firm electrical limits

The black EPICKA TA-105 Max is a sensible option for a traveler carrying several USB-charged devices across destinations with different sockets. Combining charging ports and retractable plugs can reduce the number of separate pieces in a bag. It is not suitable for appliances requiring grounding, and it does not convert mains voltage.

This research-based review covers TA-105 Max 75W, ASIN B0C9SP5XB1. We have not measured electrical output, temperature, socket retention or charging speed. Our recommendation is conditional on matching the actual destination socket, appliance requirements and shared USB power budget. A broad “universal” description never replaces those checks.

Facts: 75W is a shared total

The exact title and official documentation identify three USB-C ports, two USB-A ports and one AC outlet. Do not copy specifications from the TA-105, TA-105C, TA-105 Pro 70W or newer Pulse products. Similar names do not mean the same charging electronics or electrical ratings.

Features: fewer chargers, but a power-sharing plan is still needed

The current manual lists USB-C single-port PD output up to 20V at 3.35A, equivalent to 67W. Two USB-C ports can share a listed 45W plus 30W allocation. The 75W label is the overall USB budget, not output from every port at once. Your device and cable must support the relevant charging mode to use it.

For a phone, earbuds and a compatible tablet, one charging point can make overnight setup simpler. A laptop changes the calculation: check its required input and the allocation left when other ports are occupied. A laptop that can accept a modest charge while asleep may still need its normal charger during heavy use.

The built-in Type A, C, G and I plug arrangements cover many trips. They do not fit every socket, including Type D and Type M. Research the sockets at the actual accommodation instead of relying on a country name or a large worldwide-coverage number. A country can use more than one socket type, and physical fit does not establish voltage or grounding compatibility.

Research: editorially popular, without a substantiated viral claim

T3 reviewed the exact TA-105 Max in May 2025 and highlighted its multi-device travel convenience. That is relevant editorial attention, not evidence of social virality, audited demand or a sales ranking. We include it as a practical travel accessory with published coverage rather than presenting it as a proven viral hit.

The older T3 article mentions an 8A fuse, whereas EPICKA’s current manual and the current listing imagery show a 10A maximum. Treat that as a documentation-version difference requiring care, not permission to install a different fuse in an older unit. Follow the label and guide supplied with your own adapter. This review does not claim all stock has identical internal construction.

Safety: no grounding and no voltage conversion

Never use this adapter for equipment requiring a protective earth connection. Its multi-format socket may physically accept a plug with a grounding pin, but that does not provide a ground path. Also check each AC device’s input label against the local supply: changing plug shape does not make a single-voltage appliance safe on another voltage.

Use indoors, with dry hands, away from liquids and children. Do not use a damaged housing or a loose wall outlet. Avoid high-power hair appliances, heaters and similar loads; the current manual specifically excludes Dyson products and appliances above 1600W even when labeled dual-voltage. Observe all lower applicable limits on the unit and appliance.

If a fuse needs replacement, unplug everything first and use only the specified matching replacement for that unit. Never bridge or bypass it. A blown fuse is a reason to reassess the load, not repeatedly restore power to an unsuitable appliance. For medical equipment, obtain compatibility guidance from its manufacturer rather than assuming a travel adapter is appropriate.

Buying: compare a travel system, not just a port count

List what needs charging at the same time, identify the destination outlets and decide whether you need AC passthrough at all. For one destination and one phone, a smaller dedicated charger may be simpler. For several countries and mixed USB devices, the consolidated design has a clearer purpose.

Confirm TA-105 Max, 75W and black at checkout. Check the included case, spare fuses, seller, return terms and final total. Bring the correct cables; they matter as much as the printed wattage. Test your planned device combination before departure while you can still change the packing plan. No current price, stock or cruise-line acceptance promise is made here.

Questions: compatibility before convenience

Will it convert 230V to 120V?

No. The AC outlet passes through the local mains voltage. The connected appliance must already support it.

Is the AC outlet grounded?

No. Do not connect equipment that requires grounding, even if its plug physically fits.

Can every USB-C port supply 75W?

No. The documented single-port USB-C maximum is 67W; multiple devices share the overall 75W budget.

Does it work everywhere?

No. Check the actual socket. Type D and Type M are specifically excluded, and other requirements can still make a device unsuitable.
