Verdict: useful when the dustpan is the nuisance

EyeVac Home makes the most sense for someone who already sweeps a hard-floor kitchen frequently and dislikes crouching with a dustpan. You bring the pile to a stationary inlet, where powered suction collects it. That can simplify the last step of a familiar chore, provided you have a suitable place for another corded appliance.

This review covers the Matte Black EVH-MB, ASIN B07JVHSFYD. It is research-based, not a hands-on test. We have not measured pickup, noise, sensor response or reliability. Consider it a convenience purchase for a specific routine; a broom and long-handled dustpan remain the simpler alternative when floor space or outlet access is limited.

Facts: Home means the 1000-watt model

The manufacturer specifies a 1000-watt motor and 4-liter bagless canister for Home. The US manual calls for a standard 120-volt outlet. The selected Amazon listing identifies Matte Black and EVH-MB; the reviewed unit is not the more powerful Pro or the Air model with an air-purifier function.

A broom is still needed and is not included. Wattage describes electrical power, not an independently measured cleaning result. Likewise, canister volume does not tell you how often your household will empty it: a kitchen collecting crumbs presents a different workload from a room collecting bulky hair.

Features: the floor still needs your broom

Auto Mode uses infrared sensors to start suction when sweeping approaches the inlet. Manual Mode uses the activation button instead. Neither mode moves the unit around the floor. Place it where debris can be swept toward it without crossing a rug or repeatedly moving furniture.

Switch off and unplug before emptying or cleaning. Pull out the canister, lift off its lid and empty the debris. Wash the canister with mild soap and warm water, rinse, and air-dry; do not put it in a dishwasher. To clean the pre-motor filter, turn its handle counterclockwise, lift it out and rinse it, using mild soap and a soft brush if needed. After it dries completely, refit it and turn clockwise to lock. The exhaust and vent filters also need gentle washing, rinsing and complete drying. Match their retainers to the supplied revision instead of forcing them. Refit every filter, the lid and canister securely before use. An overflowing bin or obstructed inlet defeats the point of quick cleanup; bagless does not mean maintenance-free.

Research: attention does not establish performance

A TikTok Shop listing sold by EyeVac displayed a US purchaser review dated June 13, 2026, for the White Home model. That establishes current-year social-shopping activity around the Home family, not demand for this exact black ASIN. We do not use the shop’s totals, promotional demonstrations or generated descriptions as a cleaning test.

Our buying inference is about workflow. If you repeatedly collect dry debris in one room, the fixed collection point may suit you. If messes are scattered upstairs, on upholstery or in a car, portability is more valuable. No evidence reviewed here justifies promising pain relief, a quieter home or a particular number of minutes saved.

Safety: follow the manual over always-on advertising

The current Home manual says to unplug the appliance when unattended or not in use. It also says not to use Auto Mode or leave it plugged in near children, infants or small animals. Those restrictions matter more than the manufacturer’s always-on marketing language. Plan for supervised use and a safe storage arrangement.

Use it only for permitted dry debris. Do not collect liquids, damp materials, sharp or hard objects, hot ashes or burning material. Keep hair, clothing and fingers away from the inlet. Plug directly into a properly installed outlet; the manual prohibits extension cords, surge protectors, adapters and converters.

Switch off and unplug before emptying, cleaning or servicing. Reinstall the filters, canister and lid correctly. Keep the appliance away from wet surfaces and stop using a damaged cord or malfunctioning unit. Home is specified for household use, so do not transfer salon-use recommendations from the Pro line.
