Verdict: appealing for ambient color, with setup homework
The Govee Floor Lamp 2 makes sense if you want a slim, floor-standing source of indirect color and adjustable white light. Its separate illuminated base gives it a different look from a conventional reading lamp. Our recommendation is to buy it for atmosphere and coordinated lighting, after checking that your network and preferred controls suit it.
This research-based review covers Black H607C, the single-lamp ASIN B0CTH2QF23. We have not measured brightness, color accuracy, connection reliability or durability. A polished room photograph can show a decorating idea, but it cannot establish how much useful light will reach your chair or desk.
Reasons to consider it
- Slim design with illuminated base
- Color effects and adjustable white light
- App, remote and supported smart-home controls
Trade-offs
- Assembly and wall power required
- Advanced effects depend on Govee software
- Integrated light source is not a replaceable household bulb

Facts: H607C, the second-generation model
Govee describes H607C as approximately 60 inches tall, with RGBICWW lighting, a stated 1,725-lumen output and white-light adjustment from 2200 K to 6500 K. These are manufacturer specifications, not our measurements. The Black single-pack selection is distinct from Silver, Blue and multipacks.
The official page supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, plus Matter integration. Do not transfer Floor Lamp 3’s 2,100-lumen output, broader white range or DaySync features to this model. Floor Lamp 2 also lacks the Pro model’s speaker and does not include a TV-synchronization camera.

Features: decide which controls you actually need
Independent control of the pole and illuminated base offers a way to change the balance of a corner scene. The Govee Home app provides preset and customizable effects. Our practical suggestion is to decide whether you mainly want a steady evening color, adjustable white light or frequent animated scenes; the answer determines how much app complexity is worthwhile.
Matter support is useful for bringing ordinary light controls into a compatible smart-home system. It should not be read as a promise that every Govee scene or music effect appears in every other app. Check your ecosystem’s controller requirements and the current pairing guidance before making an integration-specific purchase.
Placement will influence the result. Wall color, distance from the wall, furniture and other lamps can change the appearance of indirect light. Measure the space and locate a safe cord route. If your main need is seeing fine detail while reading or working, compare a dedicated task lamp rather than assuming an ambient pole will cover that job.

Research: dated editorial attention and specification limits
Impulse Gamer published a dedicated Floor Lamp 2 review on March 20, 2026, discussing ambient use, assembly and smart-home setup. TechRadar’s model review dates to September 21, 2024. These demonstrate continuing editorial attention; they are not our hands-on tests or evidence of current viral scale.
We cross-checked the exact Amazon identity, Govee’s US product page and the H607C-branded manual. Some wording in the manufacturer FAQ conflicts with its RGBICWW specification and manual, so we do not assert a precise independently controllable segment count. The linked multilingual manual also lists a non-US adapter input; it is used for shared operation and safety, not to specify the US plug-in adapter.

Safety: assemble securely and keep the electrical parts dry
Use the supplied regional power adapter, assemble the lamp as instructed and position it on a stable surface. Keep cords out of walkways and the product away from water splashes, candles and other heat sources. The manual says not to use a separate dimming driver; use the supported lamp controls.
The internal light source is not designed as a user-replaceable bulb. Do not disassemble or modify the lamp to repair it. Keep assembly parts away from children and obtain manufacturer help for damage or malfunction. Confirm the actual adapter’s rating rather than copying an overseas manual’s electrical input.
Our targeted October 12, 2026 CPSC search found no matching H607C floor-lamp recall. That limited search does not certify safety or replace checking current manufacturer notices.

Buying: verify the exact lamp and seller offer
Confirm Floor Lamp 2, H607C, Black and one lamp. Review seller identity, condition, included adapter and accessories, return terms and the final total. A listing suggesting a newer generation is a comparison prompt, not permission to merge its specifications with this one.
The fresh exact-ASIN page had no main featured Buy Now button, but did contain a priced New (2) offer link for B0CTH2QF23. An older captured page showed Buy Now. These different snapshots are why we make no current stock or price promise; inspect the seller offers available to you before ordering.

Questions: buying for your room and network
Will it join a 5 GHz-only Wi-Fi network?
The H607C instructions require 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Confirm that your network provides a compatible connection.
Will all Govee effects work through Matter?
Do not assume so. Basic lighting integration and Govee-specific animated features are different capabilities; verify the controls your ecosystem exposes.
Is the speaker included?
No. The speaker belongs to a different Pro model, not this H607C Floor Lamp 2.
Can it replace a reading lamp?
It is best evaluated as ambient lighting. We have not measured illumination at a reading position, and room placement makes a substantial difference.
