Our research-based verdict
The original My Foldaway Mirror suits someone who wants a movable close-up mirror without dedicating permanent counter space to a large vanity setup. The folding base is the main practical advantage, while magnification is useful only if you are comfortable working close to the mirror.
It is not a substitute for an adequately lit full-size room mirror. Buyers seeking adjustable color temperature, measured color accuracy or rechargeable convenience should not assume those features from a ring of LEDs.

What matters in daily use
The manufacturer shows an adjustable neck and a base that holds small accessories. Those compartments can keep a few daily items together, but they are open storage rather than a secured travel case. Empty the base before folding and packing it.
A standard-view side and magnifying side serve different tasks: the former gives context, while the latter emphasizes a smaller area. Strong magnification can require moving your face nearer and adjusting position rather than expecting a full-face view from across a counter.
The listing describes battery operation, and the exact 1713 gallery specifies four AA batteries, not included. Battery replacement therefore belongs in the ownership calculation. There is no verified USB charging feature for this model in the reviewed source.

Evidence and unanswered questions
Our identity check uses the official original-white variant and image filenames identifying 1713. The same page also sells a larger white model and colored versions. Their photos and specifications should not be silently substituted for the original white unit.
The manufacturer gives an LED life claim, but LED service life is not the time a set of AA batteries will last. We found no measured brightness, color-rendering test or verified battery runtime for the exact unit, so there is no basis for predicting those from the promotional pictures.
Source and variant checks were completed on October 16, 2026. Displayed buyer stars were not used as our own score or as proof of product performance.

Fit, care and safety checks
Place the base on a level, stable surface and adjust it without forcing the hinges. Keep a magnifying mirror out of direct sunlight, and store it where reflected light cannot concentrate on nearby materials.
Do not assume battery-powered means waterproof. Keep the unit away from splashes and follow its supplied cleaning and battery instructions. If the image appears distorted, adjust viewing distance before deciding that magnification will work for your normal routine.

Before ordering
Check model 1713 and original white when comparing sellers. A listing for the larger 1845 model may look similar while occupying more space. Confirm whether batteries are included by that seller rather than relying on a generic bundle picture.
Consider where the mirror will stand at your seated height. A folding travel-friendly stand is useful only if it places the mirror at a comfortable working angle; shoppers needing a wall-mounted or long-reach mirror should compare those designs instead.
