Verdict: a clever small-batch workflow with hot pieces to manage

The Ninja Crispi FN101GY is worth considering when you want to cook, serve and later store food in the same glass vessel. It is particularly appealing for a smaller household that values flexible containers over a conventional pull-out air-fryer basket. The practical question is whether that workflow makes your kitchen easier to use.

Our main reservation is handling. A removable heating head, adapter, hot glass and separate lids create more pieces to coordinate. Anyone who prefers one fixed appliance with a drawer should compare that familiar design before choosing Crispi for its appearance or social-media presence.

This is a research-based review of the original Cyberspace Gray FN101GY, ASIN B0DDDD8WD6. We have not tested cooking results, noise, cleanup time or long-term glass durability. No performance rating is inferred from the brand’s demonstrations.

Reasons to consider it

  • Two useful container sizes in one kit
  • Glass vessel can also serve and store food
  • Removable head and nesting storage
  • Model-specific replacement containers available

Trade-offs

  • Only one bowl cooks at a time
  • Several hot components to handle
  • Approved glass and adapter fit matter
  • Portable design still needs mains power

Facts: two bowls, one original Crispi PowerPod

The kit has one 4-quart container and one 6-cup container, each with a crisper plate and storage lid, plus one heating pod and a large-container adapter. These are different batch-size choices rather than two independently heated cooking zones.

The four modes are Max Crisp, Bake, Air Fry and Recrisp. Controls select a mode and adjust cooking time. This original unit is distinct from later Crispi Pro models; compare the actual control panel instead of treating every Crispi advertisement as a description of FN101GY.

Nominal container capacity is not a promise about servings. Food shape, layer thickness and the rest of the meal matter. Check whether your usual portion fits comfortably rather than buying around a universal family-size claim.

Features: the container is the main attraction

The glass makes food visible from the side, and the storage lid lets a cooled meal stay in its cooking container. That can reduce transfers, although the crisper plate still needs cleaning. It is useful to imagine the whole meal routine, including cooling, serving and washing.

A second container can be prepared while the first cooks. This helps organize consecutive batches but cannot synchronize two different foods automatically. If simultaneous mains and sides are essential, prioritize that requirement when comparing appliances.

The components nest for storage. Treat that as a cabinet arrangement to evaluate, not an absence of counter space requirements. You still need a safe working area for the assembled cooker and somewhere suitable to put removed hot parts.

Research: original Crispi attention and exact accessory fit

TechRadar’s October 6, 2026 roundup calls attention to viral Ninja kitchen appliances and includes the original portable four-in-one Crispi alongside newer models. This is dated editorial evidence of attention, not an independently verified social-view count or proof of superior cooking.

Ninja’s replacement 6-cup container, XSKSFN6CUP, explicitly lists FN101GY. Its page includes a lid and crisper tray. Check that compatibility rather than choosing glass by approximate size. Older documentation calls the glass TempWare; current product pages use CleanCrisp.

We excluded source artwork promoting broad material-safety and thermal-shock claims. Those graphics should not replace the owner guide’s specific restrictions. The guide is more useful than a slogan when deciding how you will handle and clean the system.

Safety and care: glass has specific limits

Read the FN100-series guide before use. Keep objects six inches from the vent. Use approved Ninja glass; fit the adapter to the 4-quart bowl, never the 6-cup bowl. Do not overfill. Use a food thermometer rather than judging doneness through glass.

Use oven mitts on container handles. Avoid sudden temperature changes, cold liquid in hot glass and damaged glassware. Cool before washing or refrigerating. These containers are not oven or stovetop cookware. Never seal a storage lid immediately after cooking; microwave lids must remain unsealed.

Unplug and cool before cleaning. Glass, crisper plates and adapter are dishwasher-safe; lids go on the top rack. The electrical PowerPod must never be immersed or dishwashed. Keep plates and adapter out of microwaves. Allow ten minutes of cooling before separating the hot pod and adapter.

Buying advice: choose the workflow before the color

Confirm FN101GY, Cyberspace Gray, both container sizes and the complete accessory list. Compare the current seller, returns and delivered total. Extra bowls are optional purchases, not a substitute for a second heating head.

Choose this system if smaller batches, visible glass and same-vessel storage solve a regular problem. Consider a different format if you need large flat cooking space, simultaneous independent zones or fewer detachable pieces. Keep enough room near an outlet for safe setup and handling.

Questions: what the original kit can and cannot do

Does portable mean cordless?

No. This is a plug-in countertop appliance. The removable head and separate containers make it easier to pack away, but it still needs an appropriate outlet.

Can both included bowls cook at once?

No. The kit includes one heating pod. You can prepare a second bowl while the first cooks, then swap them safely.

Is this the Crispi Pro?

No. This is the original FN101GY 4-in-1. Do not assume Pro controls, larger containers or accessories are included.

Will any glass bowl fit?

No. Buy containers specifically approved for this cooking system. Ninja’s XSKSFN6CUP accessory page explicitly lists FN101GY.

Does glass guarantee better food?

The visible vessel and storage workflow may suit you, but the material alone does not establish superior flavor, crispness, nutrition or cooking speed.
