Our research-based verdict
Paw Perfect 7964 is a straightforward manual brush aimed at collecting loose pet hair with less fiddly brush cleanup. The release button is a useful design idea, but coat suitability matters more than whether an advertisement shows both a dog and a cat.
It makes most sense for an owner who already knows that this tooth style works comfortably on their pet. We would not buy it as a universal solution for mats, skin irritation or every coat type, nor assume that it removes the need for professional grooming.

- Dedicated fur-release button

What matters in daily use
The rubberized handle may help maintain a controlled grip during a short grooming session. The product still relies on the person choosing gentle pressure and an appropriate direction; no powered mechanism or automatic pressure control is described.
A fur-release button is intended to help clear collected hair from the brush. That can simplify repeated passes, but it does not make the teeth self-cleaning or disinfect them. Inspect and clean the tool according to the supplied instructions.
Removing loose hair during brushing can reduce what is left around the home, but it does not stop the animal’s underlying shedding cycle. The gallery’s broad grooming-savings claim should be treated as advertising, not a guarantee that all coat care can be done with one brush.

Evidence and unanswered questions
The official record identifies SKU 7964, with matching product-and-package photographs. This is the separate grooming brush, not the Paw Perfect rotary nail trimmer or an ultrasonic training device sold under the same broader name.
The manufacturer calls grooming painless and suitable for small and large pets. Neither statement establishes comfort for a particular animal or suitability for every coat texture. We have not tested pulling force, tooth contact, durability or how readily the button releases different hair types.

Fit, care and safety checks
Introduce the brush gently and stop if the pet pulls away, appears uncomfortable or the skin becomes irritated. Avoid using it to force through tightly tangled hair or over injured skin. A groomer can help select an appropriate tool for a coat you are unfamiliar with.
Do not let a promotional image replace handling judgment. Support the animal calmly, use brief sessions and keep the teeth away from eyes and other sensitive areas. Persistent coat or skin problems deserve appropriate professional advice rather than stronger brushing.

Before ordering
Match the white-and-gray brush with blue release button and SKU 7964. A Paw Perfect search can also show other grooming tools and bundles, so verify the actual contents before comparing totals.
The best value question is whether this tooth arrangement and handle are comfortable for both pet and owner. If you need detangling, clipping or nail care, choose a tool intended for that job rather than asking this loose-hair brush to do it all.

Common buying questions
Is this a nail grinder?
No. Model 7964 is a manual grooming brush; the Paw Perfect nail trimmer is a separate product.
Will it stop shedding?
The brush is intended to collect loose hair. That is different from stopping normal shedding.
Is painless grooming guaranteed?
No. Comfort depends on coat condition, tooth suitability, pressure and the individual animal. Stop if grooming causes discomfort.
