Rubbermaid Reveal 18-Piece Power Scrubber Review

Verdict

The Rubbermaid Reveal 18-piece kit is worth considering when your cleaning list includes both narrow crevices and small surfaces that suit a pad. Our buying recommendation is to choose it for varied detail work around the home. If you mainly want a bristle brush for grout and edges, compare the simpler five-piece kit before paying for accessories you may leave in a drawer.

The key detail is the piece count: the 18-piece bundle contains a handle, five attachment heads and twelve pads. The four included batteries are additional. It does not contain eighteen different brushes. Amazon’s exact 18-piece listing

Facts

The measurements above are Rubbermaid’s published product figures. Its page does not explain how the dimensions were measured; they should not be read as a verified handle-only length, brush diameter or working clearance. Rubbermaid’s model 2124405 specifications

Features

What is actually in the box?

The exact Amazon listing identifies:

• One powered handle
• One XL head and one large head
• One soft-bristle brush and one grout brush
• One hook-and-loop attachment head, called a Velcro head in the listing
• Six scrubber pads and six microfiber pads
• Four AA batteries

That gives you four bristle-brush options plus the pad holder. Check the selected style and contents at checkout because other Reveal bundles share very similar names.

Match the attachment to the job

Our practical approach is to choose by the shape of the area first. A narrow grout line calls for a different contact shape from an open patch of tile. The smaller brush can be easier to position around an edge; the wider brush gives you a broader contact area. A pad is useful when you want more even contact on a small, relatively flat area.

Start with the least aggressive attachment your surface maker permits. The presence of a soft brush or a pad does not establish that a particular coating can tolerate powered scrubbing. Keep attachments used in bathroom areas separate from those used on kitchen or food-contact items.

Two operating modes

Amazon’s listing advertises 60 scrubbing movements per second. That is a stated oscillation rate, not a tested cleaning result.

Rubbermaid lists pulse and continuous operation. These describe how the tool runs; they are not documented as two selectable speed levels. The manufacturer also advertises cleaning up to twice as fast as manual scrubbing. Treat that as a manufacturer claim, not a measured result from this review.

Research

18-piece versus 5-piece

The five-piece kit at ASIN B0GJTRWBXD is model 2247239. Its listing specifies one powered handle, one XL head, two all-purpose heads and one grout brush. The pad holder, microfiber pads and soft-bristle brush in the larger kit are the more useful distinction than the headline count.

Choose the 18-piece version if you can name regular jobs for both the brushes and pads. Choose the five-piece version if your priority is bristle-based detail cleaning and you prefer fewer loose accessories. Compare the final prices for the selected bundles; a larger piece count alone does not settle value. There is no verified basis here for calling the 18-piece motor more powerful.

How we reached the recommendation

We matched the primary Amazon ASIN to Rubbermaid’s model number, checked the stated kit contents, and consulted Rubbermaid Consumer Care answers on the matching Target listing. We also checked manufacturer refill pages. Our recommendation is an inference from the configuration and its likely fit with different cleaning routines.

We did not verify a numerical runtime, torque figure, IP rating, measured noise level or long-term failure rate. No exact-model instruction manual was used for this review. Read the instructions supplied with your kit before use.

Safety

Water-resistant means limited wet use

Rubbermaid Consumer Care says the 18-piece kit can cope with splashes and wet cleaning surfaces, but is not fully submersible. Keep the powered unit out of standing water; do not soak it in a sink or tub. The same brand response confirms that this kit is not USB rechargeable. Rubbermaid’s answers on Target

Protect the finish before chasing the stain

Check the care instructions for the surface and cleaning solution, then test a small hidden area. Be especially cautious with painted surfaces, plated fittings, soft stone, acrylic and coated cookware. The product’s general bathroom and kitchen positioning is not permission to scrub every finish with every attachment.

Inspect a pad for trapped grit before touching a glossy surface. Stop if the surface changes appearance or the tool behaves abnormally. Avoid letting liquid enter the battery compartment, and follow the supplied instructions for battery replacement and tool cleaning.

Buying

Check these details before ordering

• Confirm model 2124405 and the 18-piece style in the selected offer.
• Compare the delivered total, seller, return conditions and included parts.
• Decide which extra attachments you will actually use.
• Check replacement parts before treating the starter pads as a long-term supply.

Replacement heads and pads

Rubbermaid identifies grout-brush refill model 1839688 as a refill for its Power Scrubber.

The manufacturer also lists model 2115703 as a 15-pack of compatible Power Scrubber microfiber pads. These are the small scrubber refills; do not confuse them with the much larger Reveal mop pads.

For the broader brush and pad-holder assembly, Lowe’s lists accessory kit 2115701 with an XL head, scrubber pad and hook-and-loop head, described as compatible with the Rubbermaid Power Scrubber. Confirm the individual offer’s contents before buying. Lowe’s accessory-kit listing

A manufacturer catalog entry confirms the part’s identity, not current availability. We did not establish a complete current replacement route for every included attachment or a standalone genuine refill pack for the blue scrubber pads. If those pads drive your purchase, resolve that before ordering.
