Verdict: buy for the scented body-care experience

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream is worth considering if the sweet Cheirosa 62 fragrance is a major part of the attraction. This review covers the original 240 mL jar. Treat it as a scented body moisturizer whose enjoyment depends on texture and fragrance preference. The formula contains Brazil nut oil and fragrance, making ingredient suitability an important first check.

We have not applied or tested this cream. We would not recommend buying it on an expectation of cellulite elimination, weight loss or permanent tightening. If you simply need an unobtrusive moisturizer, compare unscented options before paying for a fragrance-led product. If you already enjoy this scent family, the jar is a more understandable choice.

Reasons to consider it

  • Recognizable Cheirosa 62 body fragrance
  • Wide-mouth jar for a rich cream texture
  • 240 mL jar and separate refill clearly identifiable

Trade-offs

  • Contains Brazil nut oil and fragrance
  • Cosmetic firming claims are not permanent body changes
  • No independent absorption or longevity test here

Facts: the full jar and the refill are different offers

Amazon ASIN B013XKHA4M identifies the original 240 mL / 8.1 fl oz jar, with model BP59196844 and GTIN 00810912032019. The current official 240 mL variant is SKU SJ99108700 with UPC 810912032019, which aligns after the GTIN's leading zeros. This is a product-level identity check, not authentication of an unopened delivered jar.

The same official range includes smaller sizes and a separate 240 mL refill, SKU SJ99114900. The refill is not the complete jar reviewed here. Ignore an inconsistent generic item-weight field if it conflicts with the explicitly selected volume; compare the stated size, label and contents of the offer.

Features: scent, texture and application

The Cheirosa 62 fragrance profile includes pistachio, almond, vanilla and salted-caramel notes. These describe the scent experience, not a food recipe. The pale cream is pictured in a yellow-orange jar with a white lid; manufacturer photography illustrates a substantial cream texture. Its fast-absorbing description is a brand claim, and we have not timed absorption or transfer onto clothing.

The directions call for massaging into the body in a circular motion. Choose an amount suited to the area rather than assuming more product necessarily performs better. Let the finish settle before deciding whether you want additional cream. If you already wear perfume, consider whether you actually want another prominent scent across your body.

The current formula includes cupuaçu butter, coconut oil, plant squalane, guaraná extract and Brazil nut seed oil. Mica contributes to the brand's glow-oriented presentation. None of those ingredient names independently establishes the size or duration of an effect in this finished formula. For formula-sensitive shopping, read the complete ingredient panel on your actual jar.

Research: separate cosmetic claims from viral reputation

The manufacturer's page cites a 34-participant, four-week study for some visible-firming and cellulite-appearance claims. It also cites a separate consumer study. We have not independently reviewed the full protocols or replicated either study. Brand-reported appearance findings should not be converted into a guarantee of structural change, a medical benefit or a universal before-and-after result.

AL.com's February 4, 2026 shopping article describes the cream as viral. That verifies dated commerce attention; it does not provide an independently audited count of current organic social views. We do not reuse its past retailer discount as a current Amazon deal. Brand-wide popularity or reach for perfume mists cannot be transferred to this cream.

The decision we can support is practical: do you like the scent, tolerate the listed ingredients, prefer a jar and expect to use the quantity? Those considerations are more dependable than assuming an online demonstration predicts your skin's appearance. We do not award a fabricated score or claim that marketing photographs document our own experience.

Safety: Brazil nut and fragrance deserve attention

The manufacturer explicitly warns that this product contains Brazil nut. Its ingredient list also names fragrance and fragrance allergens including limonene, coumarin and benzyl salicylate. If these are unsuitable for you, choose another product; do not treat a small home trial as proof that a known allergen is safe. FDA's allergen guidance reinforces checking cosmetic labels.

Use it on the body as directed, keep it away from eyes, and avoid broken or irritated skin. Stop if irritation occurs. The brand says it has not tested this cream for pregnancy or breastfeeding safety, so this review does not label it pregnancy-safe. A person with that concern should discuss the actual formula with their clinician.

The brand has not tested this body product for facial use. Its beach imagery also does not establish sun protection. Do not use the cream as sunscreen or a treatment for a skin condition, and do not eat it despite the dessert-inspired fragrance.

Buying: verify the seller and the 240 mL jar

The public Amazon offer retrieved during research showed Sol de Janeiro, USA Inc. as seller and Amazon as shipper. The brand's retailer page lists its authorized Amazon brand page. Those observations support checking that official route; they do not authenticate every marketplace seller or guarantee the same seller at your checkout.

Confirm the 240 mL jar, quantity, final total, delivery and applicable returns before ordering. Sol de Janeiro says retailer purchases must be handled with that retailer for returns, so its direct-store policy is not automatically your Amazon policy. Compare a refill price only if you already have the compatible jar. We make no current-price or stock promise.

Questions: scent, use and expectations

Is it only for the area named on the jar?

No. Manufacturer directions include legs, arms, stomach and other body areas. Follow the label and avoid unsuitable or irritated areas.

Is the 240 mL refill the same purchase?

No. The refill pod is a separate offer intended for a compatible existing jar. This review links the complete 240 mL jar.

Will it remove cellulite?

This review establishes no cellulite-elimination effect. Brand claims concern visible appearance, with limited study descriptions, and are not a permanent-change guarantee.
