Our verdict
The S400 offers powered rotation, an LED light and two distinct cleaning heads. Those features may look convenient, but our purchase assessment puts the wire-bristle concern first. We would select a non-wire cleaner appropriate for the grill instead.
Listed conveniences
- Cordless rechargeable format.
- Chain roller and brush in one assembly.
- LED light and detachable cleaning heads.
Reasons for caution
- The second head has actual wire bristles.
- Independent cleaning and bristle-retention tests were not available in the reviewed sources.
- We did not verify a safe grill-temperature limit or universal grate compatibility.

Dual-head design
The listing shows a chain-style steel roller next to a conventional wire-bristle cylinder. Its detail image labels both heads, an LED-light control and a USB-C port. The presence of the chain roller does not make the entire tool bristle-free.
The seller advertises stainless steel construction and powered scrubbing. We have not verified alloy composition, bristle retention, cleaning torque or long-term durability. Seller product information.
The listed kit includes the powered unit, chain roller head, wire brush head, USB cable and user manual; no wall adapter is listed. Marketing shows a two-speed control, but separate RPM values for each setting were not confirmed. Both heads are described as operating together; an approved chain-only operating mode was not verified.
What the sources establish
This review identifies the model and features from its exact listing and product imagery. It is not a cleaning test. We did not measure runtime, removal speed, effort saved, noise or whether a head damages a grate.
Some promotional material describes the product as having no wire bristles even though another image explicitly identifies a steel-bristle brush. We do not repeat the bristle-free or no-ingestion-risk claims. The photographed second head makes that distinction important.
Wire-bristle and care cautions
Detached metal bristles can remain on a grill or transfer to food and be swallowed. The February 26, 2026 statement by CPSC Acting Chairman Peter Feldman, accompanying a Weber recall, urges consumers to stop using metal-wire grill brushes and switch to non-wire alternatives. It also advises checking the grill and food for detached bristles. CPSC statement.
That statement is not a recall notice for VIVAIVE S400, nor do we describe it as a ban. Our non-wire recommendation reflects the category hazard and this tool’s wire head.
No safe operating-temperature limit or powered-body water rating was verified. Do not infer permission to use the tool over flames or immerse its motor/battery body from promotional images. Follow the supplied instructions and your grill manufacturer’s care requirements.
The seller’s washing graphic shows detached heads, not the powered tool, being cleaned. Its dishwasher claim must not be extended to the handle, motor or battery.
What to consider before buying
- Compare a non-wire cleaner suitable for your grate before choosing this dual-head model.
- If reviewing the listing, match VIVAIVE S400 and ASIN B0GV3KXGD1 rather than assuming similarly pictured tools are identical.
- Ask for the exact operating instructions, temperature limits and replacement-head availability.
- Check your grill manufacturer’s requirements, particularly for coated grates.
- Review the current seller, included items and return terms. We do not publish a fixed price or stock promise.
Common questions
Is this a bristle-free grill cleaner?
No. It combines a chain roller with an actual wire-bristle brush.
Is this VIVAIVE model recalled?
The cited February 2026 statement accompanied a Weber recall. It is not evidence of a recall of this VIVAIVE model.
Can I wash the complete tool in a dishwasher?
No such claim was verified. The seller’s image refers to detached heads, not the powered body.
Will it work safely on every grill grate?
That was not established. Check the grill manufacturer’s instructions and consider a suitable non-wire alternative.
Is the maximum runtime independently verified?
No. The 180-minute maximum in the listing graphic is a seller claim, not our battery test.
