Verdict: a small-screw convenience tool

The Fanttik E1 Max is a sensible candidate for people who repeatedly remove and reinstall small screws in appropriate electronics or hobby work. Its appeal is an organized precision-bit set with motor assistance. It is a poor substitute for a furniture-assembly driver, drill, or a torque-controlled service tool specified by an equipment manufacturer.

This is a research-based review, not a hands-on test. We have not measured delivered torque, bit hardness, battery endurance, or screw-head damage. Think of it as a way to reduce repetitive turning after you have identified a safe repair procedure and the correct bit.

Facts: Grey E1 Max, with 50 precision bits

The exact Amazon selection is Grey, ASIN B0BGWRWRX2. Fanttik’s official manual uses the fuller name NEX E1 Max. The familiar 53-in-1 retail wording should not be mistaken for 53 separate screwdriver bits: the documented bit count is 50, alongside the tool and accessories.

Features: two electric torque levels and organized storage

The low and high settings are substantially different from the manual torque specification. A 3 N·m figure does not mean the motor drives at that force. For delicate work, the equipment’s own fastening instructions matter more than choosing the highest available setting.

The magnetic holder keeps the driver and bits together, and the case opens with a pop-up mechanism. The manual cautions that the inner tray can eject and fall, so open it over a stable work surface. Four lights around the bit can help with visibility, although they do not reveal a stripped thread or replace magnification where needed.

Check the actual screw recess and access depth before buying. A large assortment improves the chance of having a matching bit, but it does not establish compatibility with every phone, camera, watch, or laptop. Some repairs need other tools, replacement seals, adhesives, or trained service.

Research: earlier virality, covered again in 2026

A May 29, 2026 AOL article says earlier viral TikTok videos brought the E1 Max to its author’s attention. That is a dated report of past attention, not proof of a new viral surge or independently verified view count. We do not convert that coverage or Amazon’s approximate buying badges into a performance score.

The official page itself deserves careful reading: despite electronics imagery, it says the E1 Max is not suitable for PC assembly. We retain that limitation rather than using a motherboard photo to imply broad compatibility. For larger case screws or high-resistance fasteners, look for a tool expressly suited to the task.

Our buying judgment is therefore narrow. Someone regularly working with known, compatible small screws may value the tidy kit. Someone assembling a first general-purpose toolbox should establish their most common fasteners before paying for motor assistance and dozens of precision profiles.

Safety: correct bits and a safe repair procedure

Shut down and disconnect the equipment before service, and follow its manufacturer’s repair instructions. Do not use this as an insulated electrician’s screwdriver or assume unplugging makes every internal component safe. Equipment with stored electrical energy or damaged batteries may require professional handling.

Seat the correct bit fully and keep it aligned. Stop if it slips, the screw resists unexpectedly, or the surrounding part flexes. Low torque does not guarantee that tiny screws or plastic threads cannot be damaged. Do not use powered rotation to force a mismatched screw into place.

The driver’s selector includes an off position. Use it when putting the tool away and keep the kit dry and out of children’s reach. Charge according to the supplied instructions. A USB-C connector identifies the connection style, not universal permission to use any charging arrangement.

Buying: compare fit before the accessory count

Choose it if the bit profiles, reach, and documented power range match recurring jobs. Pause if your main work involves furniture screws, structural fasteners, drilling, or torque-certified assembly. A manual precision set can remain a useful alternative for infrequent work or when you want more direct feedback.

Questions: torque, bits, and compatibility

Is 3 N·m the electric torque?

No. It is the stated manual maximum. The listed electric settings are up to 0.05 and 0.2 N·m.

Does it accept standard large driver bits?

It uses precision C4 bits, approximately 5/32-inch hex. Do not assume ordinary 1/4-inch bits fit.

Can I use it to assemble a PC?

Fanttik’s current product text says it is not suitable for PC assembly. Follow that limitation and the equipment’s service instructions.

Does owning the kit make a repair safe?

No. Correct tools are only one part of a safe repair, and some equipment needs specialist service.
