Verdict: a useful small addition to a cookware kit
The Lodge two-pack is worth considering when stuck food needs to be lifted off a pan before ordinary washing. Its shaped edges offer a more focused contact point than a sponge, and two compact pieces are easy to keep near the sink. The buying case is straightforward if you already maintain cast iron and want a dedicated food-removal tool.
This is a research-based review of the red-and-black pair linked under ASIN B0039UU9UO. We have not tested how quickly it removes residue, how much pressure it tolerates or how its edges wear. It remains a hand-powered scraper, so a difficult burned-on mess may require another approved cleaning step.
Reasons to consider it
- Multiple edge shapes for different pan contours
- Two compact tools in the reviewed pack
- Dishwasher-safe scraper care
Trade-offs
- Not a long-handled cleaning tool
- Ordinary edges are not tailored to grill ridges
- Official material fields conflict

Facts: match the pair and understand the material caveat
Lodge identifies the product family as SCRAPERPK. The Amazon title specifies two pieces, red and black; its current part field includes SCRAPERPKPLT. This review covers that ordinary pan-scraper pair rather than a grill-scraper bundle or a larger handled scraper.
The exact plastic resin deserves caution. Amazon and the official description say polycarbonate, but the current official features list nylon. We therefore describe the tool as rigid plastic without claiming a definitive resin for every delivered revision. If that distinction matters to you, ask the manufacturer about the actual packaging before purchase.

Features: shaped edges, simple storage
The important design choice is the assortment of corner profiles. Rotate the tool to approach a straight pan wall or a curved transition, rather than trying to force one edge into every contour. This is a design-based observation, not a measured demonstration of scratch resistance or cleaning speed.
The broad face gives you somewhere to grip while the edge contacts residue. Because there is no long handle, your hand stays close to the cookware. That can make the motion direct, but it will not suit everyone who wants more reach or separation from wash water.
A second scraper can be kept as a spare or assigned to a separate cleaning area. The two colors make that distinction easier to maintain, although the colors themselves do not establish different materials or degrees of abrasiveness. Store both where small utensils will not disappear into a crowded sink.

Research: scraping fits into a larger care routine
Lodge's cast-iron guidance explicitly recommends a pan scraper or nylon brush for stuck-on food. It also permits ordinary dish soap, calls for thorough drying and finishes with a light oil coating. That sequence matters: scraping loosens residue, but it does not replace washing and drying.
For enameled cast iron, Lodge again includes pan scrapers among its options for stuck food. It says to let the vessel cool before washing and prefers hand washing to preserve the finish. Other cookware brands may give different instructions, so their directions control when you use this accessory on their products.
Our evidence comes from the exact retail listing, manufacturer product information and primary cookware-care guidance. The material discrepancy is retained instead of resolved by guesswork. Customer ratings and promotional claims about effortless cleaning were not converted into a review score.

Safety and care: cool the pan and preserve the finish
Use the scraper for cleanup once the cookware can be handled safely. Do not treat it as a cooking spatula, leave it in a hot pan or assume a temperature rating that is not verified for the delivered version. Keep the pan stable, and avoid pushing so forcefully that the tool slips.
Follow the cookware maker's restrictions for nonstick coatings, enamel and other delicate surfaces. Remove trapped grit and inspect the scraper edge for damage before use. A plastic tool is not automatically harmless to every finish under every amount of force.
Wash the scraper after use and let it dry. Lodge allows dishwasher cleaning for the accessory, but explicitly excludes seasoned cast-iron pans from that routine. Avoid leaving the pan soaking. The official product page also carries a California Proposition 65 warning; buyers who need its details should read the manufacturer's disclosure.

Buying advice: buy the shape you need
Choose this pair for flat cookware surfaces and ordinary curved pan corners. For narrow grill channels, compare a dedicated grill-pan scraper; for a preference for distance from the pan, compare a handled brush. None of those choices removes the need for material-specific care.

Questions: practical answers
Are these the grill-pan scrapers?
No. This is the ordinary pan-scraper pair. A ridged grill pan may need a scraper shaped specifically for its channels.
Can I put the scrapers in the dishwasher?
Lodge says the scrapers are dishwasher safe. Its seasoned cast-iron cookware still requires hand washing.
Are they silicone?
Do not rely on image alt text that says silicone. The listing describes rigid polycarbonate, while the current official features also mention nylon. Treat the resin specification as unresolved.
Can a scraper remove rust?
Do not buy it as a rust-removal system. Lodge describes a separate restoration process for rust; this tool primarily addresses stuck food.
