Verdict: a sensible bottle brush if the head fits
The OXO Good Grips Bottle Brush is worth considering for reusable bottles, pitchers and carafes that are awkward to reach with a sponge. Its long, flexible neck and two bristle types give it a clear purpose in a sink-side toolkit. The important condition is physical fit: the brush must pass through the opening and still reach the surfaces you need to clean.
This review is based on product research, not hands-on testing. We have not measured cleaning speed, bending resistance, scratch performance or bristle life. The design is a useful starting point for choosing a brush, but it cannot guarantee access inside every bottle shape.
Reasons to consider it
- Long neck for deeper vessels
- Different bristles for tip and side cleaning
- Dishwasher-safe tool with hanging hole
Trade-offs
- No verified universal opening-size compatibility
- Separate tools needed for narrow straws
- Conflicting retailer and manufacturer metadata

Facts: identify the brush, not just the brand
OXO's product page identifies SKU 36391, and the exact Amazon ASIN is B00004OCLJ. The retailer currently lists part number 36391V9 but also a different model field, 12108200LOW. The photos and product description match the familiar black-handled brush with white and blue bristles; verify the delivered packaging if the revision matters.
There is a second inconsistency: both OXO's feature text and Amazon give a nominal 12.5-inch overall height, while OXO's specification table has a 15-inch dimension field. We do not treat either field as a precision fit guarantee. Measure your vessel and leave room to hold the handle comfortably.

Features: a flexible neck and two bristle zones
OXO describes stiffer blue bristles for scrubbing and softer white bristles for gentler contact. That arrangement gives the tip and sides different roles as you move the brush around a vessel. It is still important to choose a tool your glassware or bottle manufacturer allows; a general non-scratch marketing claim is not a guarantee for every coating.
The neck can flex to approach awkward areas, and the handle provides a soft gripping surface. Flexibility may help position the head, but it is not evidence that the brush can bend around any obstruction. Stop if insertion or removal requires forcing it against a narrow glass neck.
The hanging hole offers an alternative to standing the brush in a caddy. Either arrangement should leave room for air circulation. A promotional photograph may show a caddy, sponge and another dish brush; those accessories are not included in this single-brush listing.

Research: bottle bodies are only part of the job
OXO's bottle-cleaning guide recommends regular washing with soap and a long brush, followed by air drying. It separately identifies straw and detail brushes for the small channels, threads and recesses that a large head cannot enter. That is a useful distinction when deciding whether to buy one brush or a multi-tool set.
Think through the whole vessel: body, shoulder, mouthpiece, lid, straw and any removable seal. A brush that cleans the bottom well may still leave a narrow lid passage untouched. Follow the vessel's instructions for disassembly so that access, rather than a stronger chemical or more force, addresses the difficult area.
We checked the primary product page, the exact Amazon variant and OXO's care article. We kept the conflicting dimensions and identifiers visible rather than inventing a precise compatibility chart. No customer-star average or image-based durability estimate forms part of the verdict.

Safety and care: respect delicate vessels
Use controlled pressure and keep fragile glass supported. Do not lever the rigid neck against a bottle rim or assume the soft handle protects the vessel from impact. If the brush cannot move freely, choose a narrower tool instead of compressing and twisting it harder.
OXO allows dishwasher cleaning of the brush. Rinse away trapped residue and let it dry between sessions; do not store it indefinitely in dirty wash water. Inspect for damaged bristles or a cracked neck, and replace a worn tool when it no longer cleans effectively.
The bottle's own care directions still govern detergent, dishwasher use and any special cleaning process. This brush supplies mechanical cleaning action; it is not a sterilizer. Avoid interpreting a clean appearance as proof that every concealed lid channel has been addressed.

Buying advice: start with your hardest-to-clean bottle
Choose it when a long manual brush can solve a reach problem in bottles with a suitable opening. For very narrow necks or intricate sports lids, compare a slimmer head and dedicated detail tools before buying. If you mostly wash wide bowls and plates, a conventional dish brush may be more versatile.

Questions: fit and maintenance
Will it fit every narrow bottle?
No universal minimum opening is verified. Check your vessel’s neck and depth; bristles that compress do not make every shoulder reachable.
Is it dishwasher safe?
OXO says the Bottle Brush is dishwasher safe. That does not establish that the bottle you are cleaning can go in the same cycle.
Does it include a straw brush?
The reviewed listing is a single Bottle Brush. A straw or detail brush is a separate tool unless a clearly identified bundle says otherwise.
Can the brush head be replaced?
We did not verify a replacement head for this model. Do not assume refills for an OXO soap-dispensing brush fit this one.
