Verdict: a versatile upright if the cord suits your home
The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe NV360 is worth considering when you want one corded vacuum for floor cleaning plus hose-and-tool jobs. Its detachable pod is useful in concept for stairs and furniture because the floor nozzle can stay behind. The trade-off is carrying the pod while managing a hose and power cord.
This is a research-based review of the blue NV360, ASIN B00JH98GR4. We have not measured pickup, emissions, noise or handling. It is a better match for someone comfortable with bagless emptying and filter maintenance than for a buyer who wants minimal contact with collected debris.
Reasons to consider it
- Detachable pod for above-floor work
- Brushroll shutoff for suction-only use
- Manufacturer lists replacement filters
Trade-offs
- Cord and hose require management
- Bagless cup needs manual emptying
- Published weight figures differ

Facts: cord, capacity and an unresolved weight difference
Shark lists a 25-foot cord, 9.5-inch cleaning path and 0.9-quart dust cup. The manufacturer gives 14.42 pounds, while Amazon’s item-weight field says 16 pounds. We disclose that discrepancy rather than treating either as our own measurement. If lifting weight decides the purchase, verify the exact supplied unit.
The current manufacturer bundle includes upholstery and crevice tools. Manuals for the NV360/NV361 family illustrate additional accessories, which does not establish their inclusion in this offer. Capacity is also inconsistently labeled in Amazon’s detail fields; we retain the manufacturer’s quart unit instead of silently converting an ambiguous retailer entry.

Features: upright cleaning and a separate carry configuration
The pod detaches for above-floor cleaning with the hose, handle or extension wand. That makes the configuration flexible, but it still asks the user to support the pod and direct a tool. Consider where the weight will sit during a stair-cleaning session, rather than judging portability from the word Lift-Away alone.
Swivel steering changes how the floor head turns around furniture. Brushroll shutoff provides suction-only operation, and the manual describes a suction-release collar for situations such as a rug lifting or excessive push resistance. These controls offer adjustment; we have not established that every thick carpet will be comfortable to vacuum.
A corded design avoids a battery-runtime limit, but outlet locations and cord routing become part of the routine. Think through a typical room-to-room route and storage space. The useful comparison is the complete job, including changing tools and putting the vacuum away.

Research: check the model and the manual cover
We checked the exact Amazon identity, SharkNinja product specifications, the manufacturer-authored NV360/NV361 instructions and official replacement-filter compatibility pages. One other PDF linked by the Amazon listing is for the NV22 family. We excluded it because a document attached to a listing is not automatically the right manual.
Shark’s XFF350 foam/felt kit and XHF350 HEPA filter both list NV360 compatibility. This gives buyers a concrete way to check ongoing maintenance supplies. Washable parts still require care and eventual inspection; the existence of a replacement listing does not prove a particular service life or guarantee future stock.
The filtration description is a manufacturer specification, not our laboratory result. We do not turn it into a percentage-capture claim, an allergy-treatment recommendation or a promise of dust-free emptying.

Safety and care: dry pickup, clean filters and correct settings
Unplug before assembly changes or maintenance. The NV360 instructions prohibit liquid pickup, wet surfaces, hot material, drywall dust and fireplace ash. Keep hair and loose clothing away from moving parts. On delicate flooring or rugs, the surface maker’s restrictions remain relevant even when a brushroll-off setting exists.
Empty the cup regularly. The guide recommends cleaning the pre-motor foam/felt filters every three months and the HEPA filter every two years, with full drying before reuse. Inspect condition and follow the guide supplied with your unit. A maintenance interval is not permission to keep operating with blocked airflow or damaged parts.

Buying advice: account for handling and filter care
Choose NV360 if its upright-plus-pod arrangement matches your floors and above-floor tasks. Before buying, consider who will lift it, where you will empty it and where washed filters can dry. If those steps are difficult in your home, compare a different format rather than relying on a lightweight marketing description.
Confirm NV360 and ASIN B00JH98GR4, the tool bundle and the seller’s warranty eligibility. Check current delivery, final total and return terms. This review supplies no static price or availability promise.

Questions: floor modes, filters and included tools
Is NV360 cordless?
No. It is a corded upright. Shark lists a 25-foot power cord. Lifting away the pod changes the physical configuration but does not remove the need for mains power.
Is Lift-Away the same as Powered Lift-Away?
Do not treat those names as interchangeable. The NV360 instructions describe carrying the pod and using the hose, wand and accessories for above-floor cleaning. This review makes no claim that a detached pod powers a floor head underneath furniture.
Can I use it on bare floors?
Shark provides a suction-only setting that stops the brushroll. Use the appropriate setting and follow your flooring maker’s vacuum-care instructions. A bare-floor mode does not guarantee compatibility with every delicate finish.
Can I wash the filters?
The reviewed NV360 manual specifies hand-rinsing with water only and complete air drying before refitting. It calls for at least 24 hours for the pre-motor filters. Do not use a dishwasher, washing machine, soap or forced heat to accelerate drying.
Which replacement filters should I check?
Shark’s current compatibility lists include NV360 for the XFF350 foam/felt kit and XHF350 HEPA filter. Verify your full model suffix and installed parts before ordering, especially when a marketplace listing combines several similar Navigator models.
Does the HEPA system guarantee allergy relief?
No. Shark describes a sealed system and HEPA filtration, but this review has not measured emissions or health outcomes. Bagless emptying is a separate step that can disturb collected dust. Choose and maintain the machine with your own needs in mind.
Does it come with the Pet Power Brush?
The current manufacturer NV360 listing names an upholstery tool and crevice tool in the box. A pet brush may be shown in series manuals or offered separately. Confirm the selected bundle instead of assuming every illustrated accessory is included.
